Bay City Remembers Sgt. 1st Class Michael Cathcart

The city of Bay City (Michigan) honored Sgt. 1st Class Michael Cathcart today.

Cathcart was killed on November 14, 2014 in Afghanistan. He died of wounds received from small arms fire during a combat operation. Cathcart was 31.

On Monday, spectators and well-wishers stood along Midland Road and Midland Street between the MBS Airport and Gephart Funeral Home in honor of his family and his sacrifice, as Cathcart's body was received into the city on Monday, November 24th.

Rest in Peace, Michael.

Memorial service is scheduled at the funeral home Tuesday, November 25th at 7:30pm. A full funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at All Saints Parish's St. Boniface campus, 501 N. Lincoln St. on Bay City's East Side. The Rev. Stephen J. Fillion is the celebrant with interment following at Green Ridge Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted by members of the U.S. Army.
