Over/Under seems like a more simple choice.

Given the opportunity to make a guess, oftentimes people are hesitant, because they just don't have enough information to formulate (in their mind) a reasonable number.

This is especially rue where sports betting is involved.

How many points will Michigan score against MSU in their 2015 football game?

Most would find it difficult to answer the question.

But, if I asked you if Michigan will score over 21 points or under 21 points in the game . . . Well, you'd be more likely to venture a guess.

If someone had asked me before the start of season #3 of The Following (15 Episodes) whether or not there would be more or less than 120 in this run of shows . . . I would not even hesitated . . . "I'LL TAKE THE OVER."

120 bodies is a mere eight (8) per show.

I scoff anyone who would admit to have considered taking the under.

FINAL TOTAL: SEASON #3 ---> 116

I had the "OVER."

Hell . . . I'd have taken the "Over" even if the "line" was set at 150.

Here's the bottom line. Not only did I (we) waste a lot of time on this project, but eight shows into the third season . . . The Following was in the toilet.

By the end, it was more of single shooter video game played in the dark -- Hour after hour of an FBI trio (Ryan, Max & Mike) of agents busting through locked doors, pistols drawn, running down dimly lighted corridor es chasing after villains that no one cared about any more.

There was a recent interview with one of The Following's "show managers" that quoted him as saying . . . (I'm paraphrasing) "We will only have killing when they are specific to plot development."

OMG! FAIL! They were killing "bad guys" three at a time between commercial breaks.

PRO: The Season #1 interaction of Joe Carrol (James Purefoy) and Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) was good cinema.

CON: The last 10 episodes of Season #3 were CRAP.

There were and even 80 bodies during the first 10 episodes of Season 33. Here (as promised) are the summary totals of the last 5 (Thank the Lord) hours.

LAST % EPISODES:
  • Total Body Count = 36 (Total for Season #3 = 116
  • Two highest totals were in the last two episodes (#14 = 9) & (#15 = 10)
  • Dead Guards who worked for villains = 19
  • Dead Nameless FBI Agents 8
  • Random nameless actor/extras = 4
  • Dead Villains = 4 (Theo, Mark, Daisy, Sophia)
  • FBI Red-Haired Traitor Lady = 1
  • Average Body Count per SHOW = 9.06

I've asked my wife to cancel my HULU+ account if she sees me taking notes while watching any future TV series.

    Apologies . . . again.

    Wait!

Just saw this on my calendar:
Notification: Under the Dome is Coming @ Mon Jun 1, 2015

Hey . . . Here's a Question: How many times during the upcoming season will the Dome in "Under the Dome" shrink to a smaller size? Let's make the Over/Under = 1.

    I'm taking the "Over" . . .

    I really can't stop myself . . .

    I really can't.

    But . . . seriously . . . Take the "OVER."

    BELOW .... REPEATED FROM EARLIER COVERAGE . . .

    ========= The Following -- Body Count Update -- First 10 Shows, Season #3 ==========

It's been a few weeks now since we've taken a close look at the Body Count on The Following.

Recently, we learned that 7,000 people die in the USA every day.

Sometimes it seems that most every one of these 7,000 daily deaths are shown with graphic, gratuitous bloodshed on The Following - starring Kevin Bacon -- every Monday night on FOX.

OK . . . That's probably an exaggeration . . . but the FOX blood and gore cult classic has definitely kept up the dead body count steady during the last five weeks . . .

Although I have to admit that I'm more than a bit disappointed at the (what I expected) lack of mass bloodletting. Is it just me? Or were there more bodies the last two seasons.

Nonetheless, I said I would keep a running total for Season #3 of The Following. So, here's the cumulative body count after 10 episodes
