You know Spring is coming when Bay City celebrates St. Patrick's Day with the annual parade down Center Avenue. MyBayCity.com covered the event for the TENTH YEAR and you'll find a sampling of our over 700 pictures spread out below.

This year set some records. The temperature was, by some reports, above EIGHTY DEGREES. The crowd was estimated to be 70,000 or more. That's more people than live in Bay City! Who wouldn't come out in those conditions?

This year saw a "first" as MyBayCity.com and Last Choice Country Radio streamed the parade live on the Internet. One camera was upstairs in the station offices in MyBayCity.com's offices. iPhone cameras were carried by reporters on the street, while other reporters worked with still cameras.

As usual, we know that more people want to see the pictures than read the article. So scroll down and get a flavor of this year's parade. If you want to show your friends and family in other parts of the country or world, just send them a link. MyBayCity.com is available wherever there's Internet access!

Just for the fun of it, you might want to check out these St. Pat's stories from previous years. It's interesting just to see how digital cameras have evolved since 2002:
For another take on the subject of parades, check out what was going on in 1978 in this 1978 Flashback article from the archives of the Bay County Sports Page & Bay City Enterprise newspapers. Published from 1976 through 1984, those papers were the "grandparents" of today's MyBayCity.com.

The parade was lead by the traditional escort of Police Cars, Fire and Rescue vehicles.
All had their sirens blaring and lights flashing.
It was certainly enough to get the heart pumping!
