ARC Bay County Fundraiser Event
August 24, 2014

"Our purpose is to saved loved ones and I am truly excited about this program," said Sharolyn Meyer, Executive Director of
ARC Bay County. She added, "It's such a worthwhile project and so important to bring home a loved one".
Meyer's was speaking about the
Project Lifesaver program that was established to aid in saving lives and ending tragedies for families and caregivers, by reducing the time to search and find missing loved ones who wander due to Alzheimer's, autism or other related conditions.
The
Drive In for Disabilities car show served as a fundraiser for clients who enroll in the program and wear a personalized wristband that emits a tracking signal. This signal assists the
Project Lifesaver trained search and rescue team from the
Bay County Sheriff's Department and helps reduce the average recovery time from hours to an average of 30 minutes.
The event sponsored by Graff Chevrolet, Chemical Bank, Means Industries, SBU, Pete Avery from Brady's Systems, Bellon and Accountants and Valley Carpet, featured classic cars, music, raffles and prizes and was held from 9 am-3pm in the parking lot of Arbeitoer Hall located at 1304 S. Wenona St, in Bay City, MI.
