When is a purse not just a purse?
A purse holds money, currency and funds - in other words, a purse can hold power, influence and change!
The power of the purse represents the influence that can empower individuals in our community!
The Bay Area Women's Center is introducing the Power of the Purse - a new and exciting event to take place on Thursday, August 23 from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at the Bay City Country Club!
We are taking the concept of purses and what they stand for to make a difference in the lives of many! The Power of the Purse will feature cocktails, gourmet food stations and purses - lots and lots of purses!
There will be a silent auction, live auction and raffles. There will be purses of all varieties, sizes and colors. Name brand purses, designer purses, one-of-a-kind purses made by artists, small purses and large purses - every purse will go home with a new owner!
Donations of new and like new purses are being accepted now! In addition, artists are invited to create/decorate.
