"I would just call those two guys heroes," said Dee Bishop about Josh and Shawn from www.LastChoiceCountry.com INTERNET Radio.

Bishop is the President of the Humane Society of Bay County (HSBC) and said she was "thrilled and happy" to be on the receiving end of the fundraiser.

Bishop, along with HSBC Board Member Ashley Anderson were in the offices of MyBayCity to pick up a check for $1,000 from a recent WOOF SIT fundraiser by www.LastChoiceCountry.com for the HSBC.

Anderson and Bishop brought along a pair of Golden Retriever dogs (Arwen & Finnegan) to participate in the ceremony.

www.LastChoiceCountry.com spent two nights on the roof at Millar's Appliance on North Euclid raising funds for HSBC. The Humane Society received $2.50 for each new "LIKES" that www.LastChoiceCountry.com could generate on MyBayCity's FACEBOOK page. (There were 400 new "LIKES" logged during the two-day WOOF SIT.

"It was a no-brainer for me to get involved in this," said Ashley Anderson. Anderson donated money from both Two Men and A Truck as well as Pet Butler (Poop Scooping Company) toward the fundraising effort. "When Josh and Shawn called and said it was for the Humane Society, I was all in," said Anderson.

"We not only raised a thousand dollars for the HSBC's new Foster Placement Program, but four or five dogs were actually "rescued" and found new homes during the weekend event," Bishop went on to say.

There are already plans in the works for a 2013 "WOOF SIT" kind of fundraiser. "One thing sure," said Josh Sharrow of LastChoiceCountry. "We'll try to schedule our "WOOF SIT" a little bit earlier in the year.

The temperature on the roof at Millar's got down to 34 degrees during the overnight stay of the event.

Scott McKenzie of Millar's provided a computer INTERNET connection on-site if anyone wanted to log into their FACEBOOK account and click the "LIKE" button on MyBayCity's page while they're at Millar's.

Bay Area Rental provided the "LIFT" to get Josh & Shawn up onto the roof at Millar's. Josh & Shawn broadcasted "live" during their two-day stay on the Millar's rooftop.
