Annual Event a Huge Success

"If you can taste 20 wines in 20 minutes, you'll learn more about the wines you like, versus trying 20 wines in 20 days", according to Greg Kimbrue, owner of Kingfish Restaurant & Tiki Bar.

This philosophy was evident in the approximately 100 selections of wines available at the recent tasting held, Thursday October 18, 2012 at the Kingfish. Guests were invited to taste wines of different regions ranging from sweet whites, to dry reds and everything in between.

Greg remarked, "This annual event is a great chance for people to sample wine and we offer excellent values for those that purchase cases on this evening." He went on to say, "Last year we sold about 160 cases. This event helps us offset all the donations we make to the community during the year for various organizations that come to us."

For the price of a $10 ticket, guest are treated to great wines, a delicious appetizer buffet, a live auction offering many unique items and musical entertainment was provided by talented local musician, Jim McKeith.

It was a high-spirited event and a bonus evening for those in attendance, when the cheers went out as the Detroit Tiger's secured their spot into the World Series!
