Author Renee Frances recently joined The Lunch Bunch on INTERNET radio station Last Choice Country. Listen to her podcast by clicking play above.

"A Visit from the Good Night Fairy" is coming to a summer event near you, including the Bay Arts Council's Young People's Summer Series, St. Stan's Polish Festival, and several (private) Parent/Tot playgroups in the tri-city area! With almost two dozen readings scheduled (so far) this summer, you'll want to contact Renee soon to schedule your own group reading/book signing!

"A Visit from the Good Night Fairy" by Renee Frances helps 'reluctant sleepers' look forward to sleeping through the night in their own bed! Carefully crafted to emulate the familiar and soothing cadence of "A Visit from St. Nicholas", "A Visit from the Good Night Fairy" will be enjoyed night after night, by young and old alike, throughout the year.

This clever and engaging story unfolds with a typical night time routine, however, this night is special because - after waking up early and finding her child still in his own bed - Mommy has a chance encounter with the "Good Night Fairy" herself, and witnesses the GNF placing a small prize at the foot of the lucky child's bed!

Many children respond well to 'positive reinforcement'. Parents who introduce the idea of the "Good Night Fairy" to their children may discover that the child looks forward to bed-time and may make a stronger effort to stay in his/her own bed in order to 'earn' a reward from the "Good Night Fairy".

During her readings, Renee engages children (typically six and under) in a dialog about their favorite parts of their bed-time routine, any fears they might have about night time and what they do to quell those fears, and if time allows the group may sing some favorite lullabies before Renee reads "A Visit from the Good Night Fairy" to the children. A follow-up (paper-plate dream catcher) craft can be planned, if the children are of a 'crafting' age, younger children will love the coloring sheets and bookmarks that they receive as a souvenir!

"Give your child the gift of the Good Night Fairy, have the gift of a good night's sleep."
