Spoiler Free Movie Review - The Fantastic 4

I loved the "Fantastic 4" comic books. Not the movie so much.

I enjoyed the beginning, dealing with how Ben and Reed (Jamie Bell and Miles Teller respectively) became friends. You were introduced to the cocky Johnny Storm (Michael B Jordan) in a way that gave insight to his character immediately.

Sue Storm, Johnny's adopted sister (Kate Mara) was all book and business. The villain was quickly identified by his name. This follows the comics correctly. Victor Von Doom (Toby Kebbell). Can you get more evil than that?

The CGI was well done. I thought the acting was better at the beginning when they didn't have to act excited. When they were excited it was rather hard to tell. There was some killing. A flipped finger, but I don't remember any curse words.

If you take your kids, that's up to you. After all it is PG-13.

It was not my favorite movie, but it certainly wasn't the worst I've seen.

So it's up to you. Go. Have fun. Eat popcorn.
