Trinity Episcopal Church to Host Choral Evensong

Trinity Episcopal Church continues its series of Evensongs and Special Music events with Choral Evensong on Sunday, October 23, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. The service is made up of hymns, scripture readings, canticles, prayers, organ music and a choir anthem.

Choral music will include ?Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in E-Flat? by Healey Willan (1880-1968), and ?Thy Perfect Love? by John Rutter ( b. 1945). Hymns to be sung by the choir and congregation are: ?Praise My Soul, the King of Heaven? (Lauda anima) by John Goss (1800-1880), ?All Praise to Thee, My God, This Night? (The Eighth Tune) by Thomas Tallis (1505-1585), and ?Praise to the Lord, the Almighty? (Lobe den Herren) from Erneurten, Gesangbuch, 1665. Organ music will include ?Prelude and Fugue in G Minor? and ?Lighten the Darkness? by Healey Willan.

Participants include Rev. Susan Rich, officiant: Betsy Greenwood, acolyte: Jett Whitehead, lector, Bradley Wiechelman, cantor: Rayechel Neiman, soprano soloist: The Senior Choir and Robert Sabourin, Organist-Choirmaster. Friends of Music will host a reception in the Guild Room following the service.

The service is open to the public free of charge. Trinity Episcopal Church is located at 815 N. Grant Street on the corner of Center Avenue and Grant Street. Barrier free access is off of the church parking lot on the west side of the building. For more information please call 989-892-5813.
