Baywatch

By: Kathy Rupert-Mathews

We saw "Baywatch". Funny. Definitely an R-rated movie. The language was a little rough but not the worst I've heard in a movie. Male nudity, no female.

The story makes fun of the television show. On TV they were constantly "solving" crimes. Consequently, in the movie, the lifeguards and their leader, Mitch, played by Dwayne Johnson are continuously running into the law for doing just that.

There are tryouts for new lifeguard recruits. They are forced by a judge to take on an arrogant, conceited ex-Olympian, Zac Efron, who needed some community service. They also hire a young man who "gives his all" and has heart, played by Jon Bass.

Obviously, it all works out in the end. But the movie is an excellent parody and fun. We laughed throughout. I don't remember cringe-worthy jokes, but I do remember a few groaners.

So go. Have fun. Eat popcorn.
