MOVIE REVIEW: "Transformers: The Last Knight"

About "Transformers: The Last Knight", if you are not a "true blue" Transformer or Mark Wahlberg fan don't bother going.

For me, it was too long (two and a half hours), confusing and boring. I kept myself occupied by guessing whose voices were used for the Transformers and eating a copious amount of popcorn. I was jealous of Anthony Hopkins. He looked like he was having a lot more fun making the movie than I was having watching it. I do have to admit that I haven't seen all of the Transformer movies (only 1, 3 & 5) so that may have added to my confusion.

In my opinion, it will undoubtedly win an award for the CGI used in making it. However, the other awards will escape it. The actors are ok. Two notable exceptions are the aforementioned Anthony Hopkins and Stanley Tucci. The rest, Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel and Laura Haddock were alright.

The story line is much like the others. Something is going to destroy Earth and the Transformers have to save it. Michael Bay said this is the last one he will direct. Perhaps that's for the better.

So go. Have fun. Eat popcorn.
