MOVIE REVIEW: Glass Castle - Starring Woody Harrelson

We saw "The Glass Castle" tonight. Very deep, very much an emotional roller coaster, very well done.
It's the true story of four children being raised by free-wheeling parents. The father is brilliant and loving. Yet he can't keep a job. He is one step ahead of the law and bill collectors. His drinking makes him unreliable and weak. The mother is an artist and that seems to be all she cares about. However, the love for her family is always evident.
The children are basically self-taught and don't attend regular school. They become self-reliant and strong because of each other. They are often hungry and homeless.
The acting is fantastic. Woody Harrelson is the father. Naomi Watts is the mother. Brie Larson, Ella Anderson, and Chandler Head all play the daughter Jeanette as an adult, youngster, and little girl. The other three siblings are portrayed at like ages. It sounds as though it might be confusing but it wasn't at all.
My friend suggested this movie might garner some nominations. I agree. It isn't a movie I would pay to see again but it was worth seeing.
I would recommend it. Stay through the credits to see pictures of the actual family.
So go. Have fun. Eat popcorn.
