"Victoria and Abdul" was a good movie. I loved the acting and the plot.

The story revolves a close but controversial friendship that developed between a clerk from India and Queen Victoria. He was chosen, because he was tall, to go to England and present a ceremonial coin to the Queen on her jubilee. You see racism and jealousy in the household about the friendship. During the opening credits, there is a sentence that states that this was based on a true story, mostly.

Of course, Judi Dench as Queen Victoria was superb. Ali Fazal, who played Abdul was excellent also. Paul Reid who plays her doctor took advantage of stealing a couple of scenes.

The movie is intelligent, funny and moving. We really enjoyed it. It is only showing at the AMC Classic Fashion Square 10 cinema.

So go. Have fun. Eat popcorn.
