The Animals are Back at Carrol Park - Geese and Ducks Eager For Free Bread

A goose is quick to take a free meal from a Carrol Park visitor. Jessica brought enough bread to get a morsel to almost every goose and duck.

Come and Get It - "They're a little shy at first, " Jessica said. "But after a bit of coaxing, they all take a bite of the bread."

The geese and ducks are back at Carroll Park for the 2006 Spring season.

City/County workers filled the Carrol Park lake with water last week and then brought in a flock of ducks and geese to populate the park.

Kids of all ages spend hours at Carroll Park now that the weather has warmed and the days are getting longer.

Easter Sunday, there were hundreds of young people in the park - swinging on swings and sliding down slides.

"It's so great to have good weatheron the weekend," one mother remarked while pushing her three-year-old on the Carroll Park swing set. "It's just a glorious day."
