On Saturday June 24th, Spicer Engineering held their 8th annual Walleye Tournament at Lindy?s Landing on M-25 in Quanicassee. Mother Nature cooperated by supplying a rare beautiful day to be on Saginaw Bay.
13 teams competed for top honors with team Lois Kay bringing in the largest five fish bag at 14.15 lbs. Lois Kay also took top honors in the largest walleye division with a 4.90 lb eye. Team Jeff Wood won the biggest junk fish division with a 6.20 lb cat fish.
Here is how the rest of the field finished.

4th Larry Protasiewicz, 5 fish 11.50 lbs
5th Tim Inman, 5 fish 10.65 lbs
6th Don Scherzer, 5 fish 9.75 lbs
7th Wayne, 5 fish 8.40 lbs
8th Jeff Wood, 5 fish 8.05 lbs
9th Russ B, 5 fish 7.40 lbs
10th Kevin, 5 fish 7.05 lbs
11th Eric D, 5 fish 6.20 lbs
12th Brent M, 5 fish 4.25 lbs
13th Mike R, 1 fish 1.40 lbs
The walleye were eager to bite on tournament day, thirteen teams brought in a total of 138 walleyes that were the main course in the "after weigh in" fish fry.
A big Thank You goes out to Lindys for being the host marina for the tournament and also for providing the fish cleaning facilities and pavilion for the fish fry.
Another big Thank You goes out to the Lindy's Landing "residents" for helping with the fish cleaning duties and for doing a fantastic job of cooking the fish.
