2006 Be Cool Car Show in Downtown Bay City is Big Hit With Car Buffs
Turnout for Car Show & Bay City Days Has Organizers Planning for 2007

The Be Cool Car Show rolled into town for the weekend.
The City closed off Center Avenue from Washington to Water. And they closed off Water Street from 2nd to 6th.
Good thing they did. The streets were jam-packed with car buffs hoping to get an up-close look at some vintage automobiles.
Show highlights included Specialty Vehicles, Hot Rods, Customs, and Motorcycles - with over 500 specialty vehicles expected to participate. Over 75 awards were presented at the end of the day on Saturday.
Proceeds from the event were donated to the American Cancer Society.
The car show was held in conjunction with Bay City Sidewalk Sales Days. There were plenty of bargains for shoppers too!
Weather was sunny with temperatures in the mid 80s.
"We could not have asked for better weather," said event organizer, Roger Rosebush. "We're already making plans for 2007."
Local bars and restaurants also took part in the event.
Cool City Car Cruisers, wearing the official event t-shirt, could present their special edition Cool City Cruising' T-Shirt on Friday night at twelve participating establishments (Listed Below) and receive one "special" adult beverage at the discounted price of $1.50.
Atrium, Dockside, Doubletree Hotel, G's Pizzeria & Deli, Gatsby's Saloon & Eatery, Jake's Corner Bar, Kingfish Restaurant & Tiki Lounge, Mulligan's Pub, Old City Hall, Quality Inn, Stein Haus, and Strikers Sports Bar.

Big Crowds were on hand to get a glimpse of all that chrome during the Bay City, Cool City, Be Cool Car Show this past weekend. Bay City closed off the streets surrounding the intersection of Center at Water. Everyone agreed it was an almost perfect environment for a Car Show.
