Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra Plays Tall Ship Celebration

Governor Visits Tall Ship Celebration and Greets Crowd

July 23, 2006
By: Stephen Kent

Friday night found a very large audience on the grass at the Friendship Shell on the waterfront when the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra presented a free concert in honor of the Tall Ship Celebration. Classical music against the backdrop of historic tall ships provided an enchanting evening.

The evening was also the opportunity for Ship Sponsors to host their employees and gusts with ship side receptions and private tours of the boats.

This evening was capped off with a visit by Michigan's Governor, Jennifer Granholm, who came to the stage to greet the audience and pay tribute to the Tall Ship Celebration event.
