USC Slaps Notre Dame 44-24, Moves Into BCS Spotlight
John David Booty - Dwayne Jarrett Connection Too Much for Irish

Crap!
USC had too much speed, too much defense, and too much Dwayne Jarrett for the Notre Dame Irish. As a Notre Dame fan, it was painful to watch.
From the beginning, it was obvious that USC had way to much speed for the Irish defense. Notre Dame spotted USC two touchdowns early and never caught up to the Trojan offensive juggernaut.
I really thought that the Irish could slug it out with USC in a high-scoring battle to the finish. But it was the Trojan defensive secondary that was the difference as pass after pass from Brady Quinn was knocked away by USC defenders.
The USC win will undoubtedly propel the Trojans past the Michigan Wolverines in the BCS Championship rankings . . . leaving only a last game USC match-up with UCLA standing between an Ohio State vs. USC BCS Championship game.
Michigan will still get a berth in a BCS Rose Bowl and Notre Dame will no doubt get paired with the winner of the SEC (Florida or Arkansas.)
Moral Victory? Kissing your sister? ND came. ND saw. ND got their butt kicked.
