Odd How Things Don't Always Turn Out They Way We Want Them To . . .

The last sporting event that really made me angry was watching Reggie Bush illegally push Matt Matt Leinart into the end zone in late November in 2005. Final Score: USC 34, Notre Dame 31 2005 - One For the Ages

One for the Ages . . . My foot!

The next day . . . I felt wronged. I knew that Notre Dame really won. The refs blew it!

NO!

That's not it at all.

I KNEW that USC had (really) won the game but I wanted someone to step in and fix it -- to change the reality of it . . . to change the outcome to WHAT I WANTED.

But I faced facts and moved on . . . "We'll get 'em next time," I said, in an attempt to pacify my emotional sense of being wronged. We'll get better in 2006 and . . . We'll Be Back. (2006 - Regular Season Results: USC 44 - Notre Dame 24
