Bay City Central Band Boosters Present Rhythm Society Orchestra

Paul King and the Rhythm Society Orchestra is a 16-piece dance band specializing in true Vintage Swing Music
 

Join the Bay City Central band boosters and Gold Jazz band in welcoming Paul King and the Rhythm Society Orchestra, (RSO) to the Bay City Central auditorium on Sunday, April 15, 2007.

Performing on stage with the RSO to close the show will be the BCC Gold Jazz Band.

Bill King, President of BCC Band Boosters, said, "The RSO, winner of Detroit's Battle of the Big Bands the last two years, will be joined on stage by swing dancers and will close the show by performing with the BCC Gold Jazz Band." King added, "It's rare chance for these kids to play with a vocalist."

The Rhythm Society is a 16-piece dance band specializing in true vintage swing music. Although based in Detroit, this band covers the top swing venues throughout the Midwest and has won the Detroit Battle of the Big Bands the last two years.

Their vocalist, Paul King, is a Bay City native and an alumnus of St. Stanislaus grade school and Bay City Central High School.

Paul King and the Rhythm society Orchestra have been nominated to the Detroit Music Awards for Outstanding Traditional Jazz Group and Outstanding Jazz Vocalist in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007.
