"Ladies Night Out for Charity" is an event hosted by O'Hares Bar, Midland Street Pub and Effortless Events with proceeds benefiting Nathan Weidner Foundation (NWF).

The fund raising event is set for Thursday, April 12, 2007 at O'Hares Bar and Midland Street Pub. The event begins at 5:00pm until time of close.

  • Tickets for Dinner Special - 2 Dinners and 2 Drinks - $15.00
  • Tickets for Drink Special - 3 Drinks for Half Off - $5.00


  • Dinner and drink tickets are good anytime of the night.

    Amy Slominski, spokesperson for Effortless Events, said, "It's a ladies night because many of the things going on are geared toward women but there is still a lot of things that would interest the men also!"

    Schedule of activities are listed below:

  • 5:30 to 6:30 - 50/50 cash raffle
  • 7:00 to 9:00 - WIOG - broadcasting live
  • 7:00 to 9:00 - ten local businesses displaying/selling their products and services.

  • There will be massages, purses, jewelry, a belly dancer, fortune tellers, cosmetics, and more! Offering samples, discounts, and specials for those who check them out.
  • 7:00 to 9:00 - raffle for $1500 worth of merchandise and services that was all donated by local businesses.

  • 100% of the raffle money goes to the NWF! Spa packages and services, jewelry, gift certificates, computer services, a gym member ship, tanning, and much, much more!
    (raffle tickets are $2 a piece or 3 for $5)
  • 9:00 until close Bill Howard Entertainment is providing a DJ with Karaoke and Dancing!
  • 10:00 - bartender auction


  • Slominski added, "One hundred percent of the money from the raffle, bartender auction, and jello/pudding shot sales is going to the Nathan Weidner Foundation." Slominski went on to say, "A portion of the dinner and drink ticket sales will also be donated."

    Paul Martek, owner of Mar-Tech Computers, said, (about the event), "This is a great way to support a great charity and support local businesses while having a great time."
