Talent Out in Full Force for Michigan Idol Competition
Locals Strut Their Stuff at Stables Every Wednesday Night

Bay City's Karen Powell sang the Donna Summers hit - Last Dance - and impressed the judges with her perfortmance. She made it into the top 10.
They're flocking to the Stables every Wednesday night to compete in Michigan Idol.
John Buehl, Manager of the Stables, says the level of talent is amazing. "Great talent. Great Songs," says Buehl. "It amazing, almost overwhelming," Buehl said about the performing talent. "They come from all over mid-Michigan."
Judges were Eric Jylha, Deb Pyscher and Mike Sheets. And the had their hands full trying to pick the best of the performers. "The talent level is just so good," said Jylha.

The weekly competition will continue until the 4th of July. Ten winners are picked every Wednesday. Winners advance.
After the 4th of July, the best 10 will advance weekly with one performer eliminated at each competition. The "Final Four" will compete during the 2007 Pig Gig.
Top prize for the competition is an all-expense paid trip to Vegas.
Art Dore said the format is a huge success. "The talent is great," Dore said. "We had 22 performers the first two weeks and 16 or so tonight." Dore says, "Everyone's having fun."
