Supreme Carpet held a Grand Opening of their "new look" Euclid Avenue floor covering center last week on Bay City's West Side.

According to brothers Mark and Matt Weidner, the "Retro-Fit" of the Euclid avenue showroom was designed with only one thing in mind -- to make it easier for the customer to find what they needed.

Highlights of the "Retro-Fit" are multiple new areas of Visual Display and a high-tech Idea Center.

"The remodeling is all about the customer," said Mark Weidner. S

Supreme Carpet's company slogan is "Right Product, Right Price, Right Now." "And we mean it," Weidner said. "We have over a million square feet of floor covering in stock to make Supreme Carpet the right place for the customer."

The three-year plan came together with the help of Mohawk Carpeting. Mohawk Michigan/Ohio Division Manager Paul Tocco said he was more than pleased with the result.

"We've been doing business with Supreme Carpet in Bay City for over 20 years," Tocco said. "We're pleased to be a part of this state-of-the-art Mohawk FloorScapes Showroom Retro-fit."

Matt Weidner, who handles the retail side of the operation, pointed out a series of new areas that have been introduced into the Supreme Carpet showroom.

Ceramic, Hardwood, Vinyl/Resilient and Laminate floor covering areas of display are all "front and center. "We now have over 6,000 square feet of display to make it easy for the customer to see what we have to offer," Matt said.

The business was started forty-three (43) years ago by Jack Weidner, father to both Mark and Matt. Mark has been involved with the company for 18 years and handles the Corporate side of the business and directs all installations. Matt has 15 years in the company and is in charge of retail sales. Supreme Carpet has stores in Bay City, Saginaw and Midland.

"The Weidner family loves doing business in Bay County," said Mark Weidner, summing up his feelings about the Grand re-Opening. "We've got 43 years of history," Weidner said. "And we're looking forward to many more years of service to the community."
