Hemlock's Czymbor Wins 30th Annual St. Pat's 8K Run

Steve Czymbor of Hemlock cruises to 3rd straight 8K Win

Almost 1,500 runners/walkers took part in Sunday's 30th Annual St.Pat's Road Race. The race is now named after race-founder, Al Kayner, who first organized the event back in 1974.

Hemlock's Steve Czymbor won his 3rd straight 8K title with a time of 25:17. Czymbor also won the title in 2002 and 2001.

The race route meanders thru Essexville along Nebobish, starting at Garber High and finishes in downtown Bay City.

Local 5K Walk Division Winners included:



Derrick Smith - Bay City(Under 14), Zach Bauer - Auburn (15-19), Ciara Rangel - Bay City ((15-19), Nicole Conto - Essexville (20-24), Craig Laskey - Bay City (25-29), Chuck Groya - Bay City (50-54), Marilyn VanDriessche - Essexville (55-59), Al Garcia - Essexville (65-69) and Florence Reynolds - Kawkawlin (65-69).

Local 5K Run Division Winners included:

Nate Bremer - Munger (Under 10), Laurel Rapson - Bay City (Under 10), Mary Phillips - Bay City (15-19), Brent Betzold - Bay City (25-29), Laura Coggins - Linwood (25-29), Jim Neuman - Munger (30-34), John Stryker - Bay City (35-39), Kelly Richardson - Auburn (40-44), Pat O'Leary-Davis - Bay City (55-59), Tom Rushford - Bay City (60-64) and Ed Hartley - Essexville (65-69).

Local 8K Run Division Winners included:

Chris Lutz - Linwood (Under 14), Katie Prast - Bay City (15-19), Kelly Bachula - Auburn (20-24), Ashley Reagh - Bay City (25-29), Tim Flues - Munger (50-54), Nancy Brissette - Essexville (50-54) and Kathy Doud - Essexville (60-64).
