Comes Alive with Annual Sidewalk Days

The streets will be filled with family fun, sales, specials and more.

The family fun tradition continues with the Annual Sidewalk Days event in Downtown Bay City. The streets of Downtown Bay City come alive with sales, specials and activities during this three day event.

Hours are 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday.

This year's event is sure to entertain the whole family with the theme "Hot Fun in the Summertime!"

Activities scheduled for Thursday, July 12th and Friday, July 13th include: Jewls the Clown, Tom Bartholomew - Comedy Juggler and Tommy Anderson - Magician.

Also, the Be Cool Car Show returns for the fifth year on Saturday, July 14th, filling the streets with over 500 Specialty Vehicles, Mustangs, Hot Rods, Antiques, Customs and Motorcycles!



All special activities and events are FREE!!
Thursday, July 12th and Friday, July 13th
  • 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. - Sidewalk Days


  • Noon and 2 p.m. - Jewls the Clown will be creating balloon animals and doing face paintings on Washington Avenue in front of the State Theatre. Between performances, Jewls will be strolling throughout downtown visiting with children of all ages.


  • 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - Be astounded by the magic of Tommy Anderson, magician, who will leave you wondering with his magic tricks. He will also be providing magic lessons following each show. Performances are scheduled for at the Third Street Waterfall Park (located at the end of Third Street next to St. Laurent Brothers).


  • 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. - "Learn how to Juggle" with Tom Bartholomew, comedy juggler, who will amaze one and all with his juggling feats. He will entertain with ball, ring and club juggling and offer juggling lessons. Performances are scheduled at the corner of Saginaw Street and Center Avenue.



  • Friday, July 13th

  • 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. - Come to the Cool City Cruzin' Street Party! Come cruise Downtown Bay City - cruise starts at 5:30 p.m.


  • 7:30 and 9:00 p.m. - A Cool City Concert will be held at the State Theatre. The Josh Ramses Band will perform two shows and tickets are $5 for adults, $1 for kids 10 and under!


  • 8:30 to 11:00 p.m. - A Big Kingfish Tent Party Featuring an Elvis Tribute will be held at the Kingfish Restaurant and Tiki Bar featuring Irv Cass - one of America's top Elvis Impersonators.



  • Saturday, July 14th

  • 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. - Sidewalk Days' sales and specials continue.


  • 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. - The Be Cool Car Show will be displaying over 500 vehicles throughout downtown.
