Bay City Blast Off With Annual Fireworks Spectacular!

It's that time again. Although at 66 degrees the thermometer wouldn't make you think so. But fireworks warm up every "kid at heart".

Started in 1964 as a small fireworks display, Bay City's show has grown into one of the summer's largest attractions. People come from all over the area and even from out of state for the three day show.

This year the show will feature the traditional "small" shows on Sunday and Monday nights and the giant show will be on Tuesday. Even though there's the possibility of rain on Tuesday, the hope is that it won't interfere with the excitement.

Along with the fireworks, the river front is the site of a carnival and a variety of entertainment offerings. Paisley Fogg performs in Wenonah Park on Sunday. Monday features the Bare Bones Blues Band and later the Kix Band then Question Mark and the Mysterians. On Tuesday its Dr. Rock followed by The System, doing a Bob Seger tribute show.

There are activities for everyone on the River front. You don't want to miss a thing!
