2007 Biggest Beer Advertising Show in Michigan

The Dog Gone Good Chapter (DGGC) of the National Association of Breweriana Advertising (NABA)is hosting NABA's national convention July 31 through August 5, 2007 at the DoubleTree hotel in Bay City. It will bring in hundreds of people to Bay City.

The NABA is America's first National breweriana collectibles organization dedicated to the preservation and study of American brewery advertising. Founded in 1972, It is the leading organization with membership in virtually every state and many foreign countries.

People interested in joining NABA can join on the spot by paying convention fees and participate in the activities throughout the week of the convention.

Beer collectors and connoisseurs who collect old brewery related items won't want to miss The Annual Buy-Sell-Trade Show which is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC on Saturday, August 4, 2007 from 10:00 am till 2:00 pm. Admission Is Free in the Grand Ballroom at the DoubleTree.

Dan McShane, President of DGGC said, "There will be 60 to 70 Dealers from across the Mid-West in the Grand Ballroom of the DoubleTree hotel, with ALL KINDS of beer and brewing memorabilia. Including sports, hunting, fishing, racing, neon's. Something for everyone with new and vintage items."

The convention will be a festive occasion celebrating Michigan's legendary brewing history, remembering names like, Kolb, E&B, Hamms, Phoenix, Blatz, Buckeye, Rosa, Zynda, Geyer, Martz, Bosh, Altes, Carlings, Drewrys, Pfeiffer, Voight, Schemm, Schlitz, Falstaff, Frankenmuth, Goebel, Stroh, Sebewaing, and many more.


NABA encourages local chapters to promote the hobby and provide local fellowship, a strong social program and other encouragement to collectors. Michigan's Dog-Gone-Good Chapter (DGGC) of NABA was founded by former president, Mark Brooks from Frankenmuth. They brewed "Dog Gone Good" beer, hence the name. Through their first 12 years they have had summer buy - sell - trade shows at Heritage Park in Frankenmuth. Dan McShane of Bay City, became president in 2001 and moved their summer show to Bay City, which was held at Veteran's Memorial Park in 2006.
