Illusionist Jason Jewell Performs First Under-Water Escape

Jason Jewell Contemplates Minutes Before Getting Chained and Tied Up For His Attempt In Underwater Escape
People flocked to Castaways Riverfront on Monday, August 27, 2007 to watch Illusionist Jason Jewell perform a death defying act.
Jewell who is well known for his magic tricks pulled off his first underwater escape, and not only was it successful but according to Jewell's Manager John Bob, Jewell broke his personal record of 45 seconds.
John Bob said, "We were pretty nervous about the whole thing, this was also the first time someone gave us dial locks." Someone even gave us an anchor."

Jewell was under water and freed himself from locked up chains and ropes in 23 seconds.
(Above Left) Jewell shows the red marks on his wrists from how tight the chains and ropes were. Jewell admitted to having some problems underwater, but didn't have time to explain at the time, as he laughed, "I have to go wash off the E-Coli."
(Above Right) According to Jewell and his manager, John Bob, they have some future plans for some upcoming wild escapes involving a board with spikes and ropes of flame and also an act involving a semi truck. "Its gonna be Awesome." John Bob said.

Jewell is also experienced in many areas including hypnosis, metalism, manipulations, sleights, close up, gaffs, gimmicks, grand illusions, bar tricks and also performs at private parties.
Also on Monday, August 27th a benefit spaghetti dinner was held with proceeds going to Brooke Urban and her family. Brooke was diagnosed with a very rare recessive neurological disorder. GMI Gangliosidosis in which there is currently no medical cure.
On Saturday, September 15th at 1 p.m. Castaways will be hosting a 5 Man Team Volleyball Tournament. All proceeds from the tournament will got to Brooke Urban and her family. Call Castaways for sign up information at 989-686-3558.
