The second 4-week round of competition got underway at Stables' Martini Bar on Bay City's West Side Wednesday night.

Thirteen acts took the stage to battle it out for a spot in the finals on November 28th with the top prize being an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas.

Stables' Owner, Art Dore was happy with the turnout. "The talent this week is the best we've had so far," Dore said. "And it's only going to get better."

Last week, Karen Powell, Amy Thomas, Jessica Rex and John Howley were named as finalists. Three of the four were back on the stage last Wednesday.

"I know I'm in the finals, said Howley, "But I really like getting out there and performing. Try some new things."

This four week run-off will end on October 24 when 2 or three additional finalists will be named. Then, beginning Wednesday October 31st another four week competition will begin. Finalists will be selected after each 4-week cycle.

On November 28th, the three groups of finalists will battle head-to-head for a chance at that free Trip to Las Vegas.

Anyone interested in competing should contact the Stables at (989) 891-0100.
