Bobcats Beat Pinny for Homecoming Win

Bangor John Glenn defeated Pinconning Friday night boosting the Bobcat's homecoming spirits. Glenn began there advance to victory shortly after regaining possession three minutes into the first quarter, when Chris Schuman scored an 81 yard touchdown. Ty Richards scored the extra point setting Glenn ahead 7-0.

Minutes later, the Spartans answered back with a touchdown and extra point of their own now tying the score, 7-7. The Bobcats continued to apply strong defense the field throughout the first quarter. Richards was also able to score three more points for Glenn on a field goal pushing them to a 10-7 lead.

Starting off the second quarter, Pinny gave the Cats a fish with an interception made by Lucas Foco with 3:37 left in the half. Pinny was able to score once more before halftime pulling them ahead 13-10.

Three minutes into the second half, Schuman scored again. Including the extra point, the Bobcats pulled ahead 17-13 and kept the lead for the remainder of the game. Just over two minutes later the ball was back in Glenn's possession and John Glenn's Tyler Clemons was able to put the Bobcats inside the Spartan's 35 yard line. Richards then scored a 31 yard field goal finishing off third quarter scoring with Glenn in the lead now 20-13.

In the final quarter Glenn was able to quickly regain possession through an interception made by Zac Rivard. Glenn carried to the 7 yard line where Schuman scored the final Glenn TD. Richards came through with the extra point and the score was set at a 27-13 victory for the Bobcats.

The fans and students especially were very excited to come away with a homecoming win. Glenn's next game will be played at Saginaw Nouvel against the Panthers next Friday.
