On October 13, 2007, Bay City's Cory Peterson will face his biggest challenge yet, as he defends his Undefeated 7-0 Record (4 KO's).

The fight is scheduled at the Sears Centre, in Chicago, Illinois, under Don King Productions.

Peterson will go up against, Southpaw, Devon Alexander, 5'7" from Saint Louis, Missouri, who holds a record of 12 wins 0 Losses, 7 KO's. Alexander is 55 in the world rankings and 11 in the United States Rankings.

Peterson's Manager Tom Jablonski, said "This will be by far, Cory's toughest opponent."

According to Jablonski, this is a HBO fight on Saturday 13th 2007, Peterson is on the undercard of the Diaz VS Diaz Title Fight.

After Peterson's last victory at Hooters this summer boxing fans got their money's worth as Peterson, dominated in a 10 round, welterweight bout against 5'9, southpaw, Patrick Byrd of Flint.

Peterson suffered some injury to his neck after that fight but now has the doctor's approval to get back in the ring, Jablonski wasted no time lining up his next fight.

The Mad Bomber takes a moment out of his training schedule to talk with MyBayCity.

Peterson had to move down in weight to Light Welterweight which is 135 to 143 pounds for this fight. Peterson said, "Making the 143 lbs is tough right now because I put on so much weight after my last fight I was at 165 lbs."

Peterson said, "This will be one of my toughest fights so far." If it goes the distance, I'm ready and will try to keep the pressure on." "If I win this fight, it will really boost my boxing career." Peterson continued, "I'm hoping to get a promoter to see what I'm about and that I'm hungry for a championship fight at my age and I'm ready!"
