The Bay City Rowing Club has scheduled it's third annual "Learn to Row Day" for Saturday June 7, 2003. The day is celebrated in conjuntion with the US Rowing Association's "National Learn to Row Day" promotion. The main event at "Learn To Row Day" is free clinics for anyone who wants to learn to row. The club's certified instructors will offer two two organized classes, one at 9:00 am and a second at 2:00 pm. The coaches will be on hand all day and will offer individual help throughout the day. "Learn to Row Day is a great opportunity to explore the sport of rowing", says club president Will Brewster. "The event is open to the public and is free. All equipment is provided. Just bring yourself. Dress as you would for any outdoor activity, appropriate for the weather. It's highly unlikely that you'll get totally wet, but you may get lashed and your feet will surely get wet. There's a locker room in the clubhouse in case you want to change."
