Like much of the Eastern half of the country, Bay City woke to snow. Between 8 inches and a foot of new powder covered the city and continued to fall until about noon; just what the forecasters predicted. Brisk wind created drifts several feet thick in some areas.
By noon the snow fall ended and the clouds departed by mid-afternoon leaving a beautiful sky with bright sun. The road crews did a great job and traffic, at least on the main roads, was moving normally.
