Winter Swap 19 was held at the Dore Riverview Complex, Saturday, February 23, 2008. Beer collectors and connoisseurs were in town from all over Michigan to attend the Annual Buy-Sell-Trade Show.

Hosted by Dan McShane and The Dog Gone Good Chapter (DGGC) of the National Association of Breweriana Advertising (NABA).

Nine o'clock a.m. when the show opened was the time to come for the dedicated collectors, to find new and vintage beer collectibles and memorabilia treasures.

Admission was free to the public, and after shopping for your beer items, there were deals on burgers and pints of the brewery's finest beer selections.

Jeff Kauffman from Dexter, Michigan brought his two sons, with his collections of beer items, for the buy-sell-trade show. Kauffman said he hopes to pass on his collections to his sons, Matthew, 7 and Alexander, 9. "They will inherit Dad's collection and keep it going if they choose to do so." said Kauffman. They come to all the shows with me, so far they like it." added Kauffman.

Scott Magnus from EZEWAY Auctions of Frankenmuth and Stephenie Morse said this was their first time at the show, they just joined the NABA that morning to sell their collectibles.

McShane said, "We would like to thank Dore Riverview Complex for letting us host our show in their fantastic location. Marty Rapnicki the brew master at Art's Brew Pub was a very gracious host."

McShane continued, "What better place to host a breweriana show than at a brewery. It just doesn't get any better than that."

According to McShane the DGGC held their annual elections at the winter show and some changes were made. McShane stepped down after nine years of being president.

No one was nominated to fill that position. The chapter will move on for now without a president. Barb Bauer retained her Vice President spot. Jim Brown is the new Treasurer and Ken Bow took on the big job as newsletter editor.

"Super Summer Swap 19" will return this summer to the Vet's park pavilion in Bay City. Saturday, August 23, 2008.
