Twelve o'clock noon on Sunday, March 16, 2008 was race time for some 2000 runners and walkers in the 35th annual Al Kayner's St. Pat's Road Races.

It was cold and brisk for the competitors as they bared temperatures in the 30's.
The race course was changed this year to start and finish at the same location, which was Center and Adams Streets.
All Events including 5K Run, 8K Run and 5K walk started at the same time. This led to block long competitors lined up, but their time didn't start till they crossed the start line, thanks to Gault Race Management (GRM) Timers.
(Right) Awards Ceremony for the road race events was held at the State Theater on Washington. Winners had to be present to accept their trophies.

The Great Lake Loons Mascot Lou E. Loon also stepped in to the race and showed his spirit.
Firefighters joined together and took part in the race event.
The first runner to be seen nearing the finish line was at 12:15 as more runners begin to filter in afterwords.
