The Tri-City Chorus, Region 2 of the Sweet Adelines International work diligently throughout the entire year to compete and perform

The Tri-City Chorus, Sweet Adelines International is a dedicated group of talented women who absolutely love to sing, unaccompanied, choral music, "barbershop style"! Barbershop music is one of the three "American music styles", along with gospel and jazz.

Tri-City Chorus belongs to Region 2 of the worldwide Sweet Adelines International. This region includes many parts of Michigan and Ontario, Canada. The women of the Tri-City Chorus come from communities in Bay, Midland, Saginaw, Tuscola and Huron counties! They have been in existence since the 1960's and have earned several 1st place medal awards in their division.

Ellyn McIllaney (Assistant Director)

Carol Bailey, Pam Brink, Shirley Clemens, Ara Dammer, Jane Faust, Mary Garcia, Amy Gibson, LeAnn Hadley, Sue Hawthorne, Erlene Kimber, Stannette Malosky, Marilyn Mitchell, Phyllis Pfund, Catherine Reder, Carol Unkel, Judy Wallace, Sandy Weatherbee and Barb Young.

These young ladies work extremely hard throughout the year practicing to get it "just right". Currently they are rehearsing for the upcoming Border Lakes Region 2 Sweet Adelines International "Grand Ole Harmony" competition. The competition will be held on April 3-6th in Dearborn at the Great Lakes Chorus Convention Assistance Center.

Competitions are held throughout the year in each region, ultimately leading to the annual International Competition, which includes the winners from each region.

Locally, the Tri-City Chorus performs costumed and choreographed musical programs in many venues. Among these locations are the Friendship Shell in Bay City, The Dow Gardens in Midland and most recently, the Women's Expo held at Saginaw Valley State University!

Director, Patricia Osborne works with her group to ensure they are holding a "note" and follow through for perfection, each and every chorus!
