The Best Is Yet To Come!

According to Diane Middleton, Bay Arts Council Executive Director, August will provide a grand finale to BAC's 25 year Silver Celebration.

"August will be awesome," Middleton says.

Concerts in the Friendship Shell are a summer tradition in Bay City. And August of 2003 will certainly be one to remember.

The month kicked off with a night of tribute to some of today's hottest teen artists. Pink, Christina Aguilera and N Synch tributes were all on stage last week.

Last Thursday, (August 7), the sounds of Abba filled the Frienship Shell and the riverfront. Who could forget Abba, one of the memorable pop groups from the 80's? The tribute group, AbbaMania will took everyone down disco memory lane.

This week, on Tuesday, August 12, Hotel California returns to Bay City's Wenona Park. Back by popular demand, this Eagles tribute band will rock the park with favorites from the past decades. Hotel California is recognized nationally as the number one Eagles tribute band in the country.

New Odyssey takes the stage on Tuesday, August 19th, 7:00 pm. Three versatile musicians, playing 30 different instruments is the ultimate in entertainment. Just when you thought you had seen it all!

Late in the month, the hit-makers keep on coming. Rumours, a tribute to the ever-popular Fleetwood Mac, will take the stage on Thursday, August 21, 7:00 pm. Phil Dirt and the Dozers will cap off a month of sparkling family entertainment with their fabulous show on Tuesday, August 26, 7:00 pm.

All shows are at 7:00pm in the Wenona Park Friendship Shell and are sponsored by the Bay Arts Council. Tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for ages 6-12 and free for kids 5 and under.

Everyone is welcome to this family entertainment event. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket. Gates open at 5:30pm. Rain site for all shows is Bay City Central High School.
