Winner Sings at The Labadie Pig Gig and Gets Trip to Las Vegas

Michigan's Got Talent IV - Summer 2008.
"We've had an amazing run of success on Wednesday night over the past year," Buehl said. "We give the people what they want," Buehl said.
Buehl was referring to the 17-week slate of Wednesday nights scheduled through the Summer of 2008 at the Stables. At the end of the rainbow for the Michigan's Got Talent competitors is a trip to Las Vegas and a chance to perform in front of 5,000+ fans at the Bay City Labadie Pig Gig on the first weekend of August.
Sponsors for the 17-week program that will include on-line voting once the 15 finalists are chose are: Starlyte Productions/Tri-City Party Rentals, Clock Doctor, Bay City Bakery, AP Sites, Dick Bork of Labadie New & Used Cars and Sheri Deardoff of Bay Area Real Estate.

Last year's winner was Steve Armstrong who bested Kate Gembrowski, Jenna Moeggenborg, Kaeli Sousa and John Cudworth at the Labadie Pig Gig finals.

This year, Buehl explained that there will be three (3) 4-week segments of competition. At the end of each 4-week competition, four semi-finalists will be selected.
Beginning July 9th, the same 12 finalists will compete (Idol Style) in a 4-week competition. One week the finalists will sing Country songs, then Motown the next week , then Rock, etc.
On July 30, the judges will choose 4 finalists that will perform Friday (August 1) on the big stage at the Labadie Pig Gig. The Grand Prize winner will be chosen that night and will perform solo on Sunday, August 3rd.
Judges for the competition will be Dick Bork, Tommy Anderson and Kathy Lagalo. Competition begins every Wednesday at 8:00pm.
