Josh Novak, 22 has announced he is running for Sheriff in Bay County and running he is -- with ideas and an agenda that might surprise most living in the community!

Novak's main goal is to take the approximate $80,000 Sheriff's salary and cut that number in half. Accepting only $40,000 as his own and taking the other to hire another Deputy or two and putting them on the street to ensure Bay County is a safer place to live.

Novak is not a Police Officer but is Military trained for the past 4 years. He has been a Bay City Police Explorer for the past 3 years and has 1 year Criminal Justice Certification through the Career Center. He also has experience as a Security Guard and a Loss Prevention Specialist.

Novak says he is passionate about his quest to make Bay County not only a safer community but to make a difference within it.

"I want to make a difference, Novak said. "Most political figures are in it for the glamor or the money, those are the wrong reasons. I am in it to truly make an impact by allocating half of my salary to put another Deputy on the street", said Novak.

Novak attended Bay City Central High School and graduated in 2005. For more information on Novak's campaign, contact him directly at (989) 980-1865.
