Bay City Coffee & Tea - 810 Saginaw St.

Guyton will read and play his original compositions tonight at 8:15 p.m.

Morgan Guyton is a licensed pilot, ping-pong player, and an accomplished blues pianist.

And he will be in Bay City tonight.

Guyton's poetic and musical stylings will be featured this evening (Wednesday, August 27) at a reading in the downtown area at the Bay City Coffee and Tea. The fourth in a series of readings at the coffeehouse sponsored by Uniting a Creative Culture's Dwells in Attics Press, the reading will be the most musical yet.

Guyton's work has appeared in a chapbook published by Chthonic Press. His work will also be featured in September's inaugural issue of the Paradidomi Review, a locally published literary magazine.

Uniting a Creative Culture, the parent of this new publication as well as tonight's "Saginaw Street Reading Series" featuring Guyton, is an organization dedicated to promoting local arts organizations and activities. In their mission, they call for collaboration among artists.

The "Saginaw Street" readings are held at the coffeehouse each month on the fourth Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. An open mic period precedes featured artists.

Future readings include a Paradidomi Post-Publication event in September and a College Night featuring Saginaw Valley StateUniversity and Delta faculty and student work in October.

All readings are open to the public free-of-charge and offer an opportunity for emerging writers to try their hand at public readings.

For more information on the "Saginaw StreetReading Series," please contact Uniting a Creative Culture staff at this e-mail.
