Forget About a Tank of Gas - Here's A Great Family Event Right in the Neighborhood!

The tradition continues with Downtown Bay City's Annual Sidewalk Days- July 10 through the July 12, 2008.

Three days of no cost family activities, plus great sales and special promotions throughout the streets of Downtown Bay City. This year's event is sure to entertain the entire family with face painting, live music, clowns, jugglers, magicians and so much more! Hours are 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday.

New this year! A Celebration of the Automobile along Washington Avenue on Friday! The Pontiac Performance Tour Semi-Trailer will be in the street along with five very cool Pontiac race cars from around the country, sponsored by Dunlap Pontiac.

Plus, the Bay City Motor Company will be displaying classic antique vehicles all along the avenue. The vehicles move out just in time for the Be Cool Car Cruize roaring in around 7:00 p.m. to line up on Washington Avenue.

And, the Be Cool Car Show returns for the sixth year on Saturday, July 12th, filling the streets with over 500 Specialty Vehicles, Mustangs, Hot Rods, Antiques, Customs and Motorcycles!

All Sidewalk Days activities are FREE!!

Thursday, July 10th and Friday, July 11th - Sidewalk Days, 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.

· Noon and 2 p.m. - Jewls the Clown is all about magic, balloons, juggling and face paintings on Washington Avenue in front of the State Theatre. Between performances, Jewls will be strolling throughout downtown visiting with children of all ages.

· 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - "Learn how to Juggle" with Tom Bartholomew, Comedy Juggler, who will amaze one and all with his juggling feats. He will entertain with ball, ring and club juggling and offer juggling lessons. Performances are scheduled at the corner of Saginaw Street and Center Avenue.

· 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. - Be astounded by the magic of Tommy Anderson, Magician, who will leave you wondering with his magic tricks. He will also be providing magic lessons following each show. Performances are scheduled to take place at the Third Street Waterfall Park (located at the end of Third Street next to St. Laurent Brothers).

Additional Activities on Friday, July 11th

· 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. A Celebration of the Automobile. All along Washington Avenue see the Pontiac Performance Tour Semi-Trailer with six super cool race cars sponsored by Dunlap Pontiac. Plus, the Bay City Motor Company will have a great display of classic antique vehicles.

· 7:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. - Be Cool Cruize Night in Downtown Bay City. Join the over 200 car cruise or just come down and enjoy the cool cars going by. Live classic rock-n-roll music with The Devils at The Kingfish.

· 7:30 p.m. - The State Theatre is adding a Cool City Concert to the weekend activities. The Josh Ramses Band will perform. Tickets are $5 for adults, $1 for kids 10 and under!

· 8:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. - A Big Kingfish Tent Party Featuring an Elvis Tribute will be held at the Kingfish Restaurant and Tiki Bar featuring Irv Cass - one of America's top Elvis Impersonators.

Saturday, July 12th

· 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. - Sidewalk Days sales and specials continue.

· 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. - The Be Cool Car Show will be displaying over 500 vehicles throughout downtown.
