State Representative Jeff Mayes Receives Leadership Award!

Michigan Outstanding Governmental Leader 2008!

State Representative Jeff Mayes (D-Bay City) was recently presented with the Michigan Outstanding Governmental Leader Award for 2008, by the Michigan Jaycees at a ceremony in Troy, Michigan.

The Tim Pope Memorial Distinguished Service Award for Outstanding Governmental Leader is a part of the annual Jaycees Outstanding Young Michigander Awards program.

The purpose of this award is to recognize individual leadership which best demonstrates that "government should be of laws, rather than of men" and that through integrity and insight, community betterment is a way of life.
