Saginaw Bay RiverDawgs (11-12) Post 4-1 Mark On Way To Tourney Win
RiverDawgs also win berth in USSSA World Series

Saginaw Bay RiverDawgs (11-12) posted a weekend 4-1 record as the claimed the tourney title in play at Bay City this past weekend.
By winning the tournament, the RiverDawgs (11-12) won a tournament berth in the USSSA World Series to be played later this year.
The RiverDawgs (11-12) posted 4 wins against a lone defeat in weekend play on their way to the title.
Game 1 RiverDawgs 9 Oakville A's 2 (win)
Game 2 RiverDawgs 13 Essexville Hammers 10 (win)
Game 3 RiverDawgs Blue 12 RiverDawgs Red 9 (loss)
Game 4 RiverDawgs Red 11 RiverDawgs Blue 1 (win)
The RiverDawgs beat the Oakville A's, from Ontario, Canada, in the championship game 10-2.
Leading Hitters for the weekend were Zach Goik (.636), Matt Sahr (.600) and Tyler Hugo (.545). Leading Pitchers for the RiverDawgs were Lennon Gwizdala and Spencer Reames.
In the Championship Game, RiverDawgs opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the first inning.
RiverDawgs broke the game open with a 4-run second inning.
Zavien Stickler led off the inning with a walk and advanced to third on a stolen base and a wild pitch. Spencer Reames singled scoring Stickler. Nate Caverly singled scoring Reames then advanced to third on a stolen base and a passed ball. Matt Sahr walked and stole second. Lennon Gwizdala singled scoring Reames and Sahr to close out the scoring.
The RiverDawgs added 2 more runs in the sixth to clinch the 10-2 win.
In the Championship Game win, Matt Sahr and Lennon Gwizdala combined pitching duties, 3 innings each -- combining for 8 K's and scattering 4 hits.
