Downtown Bay City To Host The 10th Annual Wine Walk!

This year Downtown Bay City is celebrating the 10th Annual Downtown Bay City Wine Walk, Thursday, September 25, 2008, from 5 till 10 p.m.

This much copied event brings hundreds of people together to enjoy the way cool Downtown area of bay City. The tradition continues with 14 of Downtown's finest restaurants and pubs coming together to create an evening of fine wines, delicious food, and good friends.

New Additions this year include Prime Event Center, 1201 Washington Avenue and Rattlesnake Rick's Roadhouse, 708 Saginaw Street.

This year's participating establishments are really showing off their 'stuff' with numerous creative food offerings to complement exquisite selections of wine from around the world. Such as Seafood Raviolis, Argentinean Beef, Chicken Empanadas, Poached Salmon. For example, enjoy the Raw Bar of oysters, crab and smoked salmon at the Prime Event Center, Argentinean foods and wines at Riverfront Grille at the Doubletree Hotel, and the finest selection of Italian foods and wines at G's Pizzeria & Deli.

This year's Wine Walk starts with ticket validation at a brand new location this year - The Pere Marquette Depot Welcome Center (919 Boutell Place) from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Each ticket holder will receive an exclusive 10 Year Anniversary commemorative wine glass.

  • Gatsby's Steakhouse & Saloon, 203 Center Avenue
  • Jake's Corner Bar, 114 Third Street
  • Kingfish Restaurant & Tiki Lounge, 1019 N. Water Street
  • Mulligan's Pub, 109 Center Avenue
  • Old City Hall, 814 Saginaw Street
  • Prime Event Center, 1201 Washington Avenue
  • Princess Wenonah, departing from Wenonah Park
  • Rattlesnake Rick's Roadhouse, 708 Saginaw Street
  • Riverfront Grille at the Doubletree, One Wenonah Park
  • Stein Haus, 1108 N. Water Street
  • Striker's Sports Bar, 1203 Washington Avenue
  • The Chambers, 816 Saginaw Street


  • Two samplings of wine, plus hors d'oeurves from regions around the world will be served at each of the participating locations. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at most of these establishments while supplies last.

    There will be music in the streets throughout downtown. Scheduled entertainment includes: Maybe August, Gregg Barber and Brett Mitchell & The Giant GHOST.

    Complimentary limousine shuttles will be generously provided by Silversand Limousine to help make sure attendees don't miss a thing!
