The Bay City Country Club hosted the Annual "Wines Around The World" on Friday, February 20, 2009.

All proceeds from this annual wine and auction event go directly to supporting the programs and services of the Nathan Weidner Children's Advocacy Center whose mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect through education and intervention.

There were 40 kinds of wine and 11 chef's with fantastic foods and distinctive wines, as well live and silent auctions and entertainment.

Jerre Cory, Executive Director and Master of Ceremonies, Dick Bork announce the nights festivities.

Cory, was happy with the turn out this year, "The weather cooperated better this year," Cory said. "Last year we had a snow storm."

Cory went on to say that "We are very fortunate and appreciate the generosity of the community and want to thank everyone including the businesses, sponsors and the contributors who support the Nathan Weidner Children's Advocacy Center."

Bork said, "Tickets were limited and we expanded the event area this year to make it more comfortable for everyone."
