Mama Lupos Downs FOP in NELL Action

In this weeks featured game at the Northeast Little League, Mama Lupos took on the FOP in major baseball action. An early lead and strong pitching proved to be too much as Mama Lupos came away with an 8-0 victory.

FOP looked like they were going to get on the board early when Tyler and Noah singled to start the game. But Lupo's Collin settled down retiring the next three batters to keep the FOP off the board.

Lupo's didn't waste their chances in the bottom of the first inning. After Bryce and Devon walked, "Big" Ben stroked a three run blast. Skyler followed with a double of his own and Jessica drove him in with a single to put Lupos on top after one, 4-0.

Lupos added two more runs in the second without the aid of a hit. After Stephen walked and the next two batters struck out, Devon and Ben worked full count walks. These walks were followed by a third straight walk to Skyler and Lupos was now up 5-0.

FOP threatened in the third. Tyler singled and advanced to third when Sean reached base on an error. But Lupo's Collin got the next batter on a fly to center to end the threat.

Lupos added two more runs in the fifth inning taking advantage of a walk and an error to go along with some aggressive base running. Big Ben came in to pitch for Lupos shutting the door on FOP for a final score of 7-0.
