Creating Hope And New Memories For The Children Of Fallen Military Heroes

By: MyBayCity Staff

The Labadie Pig Gig presented by State Farm in Bay City's Vet's Park, August 6th through the 9th is proud to welcome the families of Snowball Express. Project Snowflake is the local chapter of Snowball Express.

Snowball Express is the charity for the children of our fallen military heroes. "Snowflake" events are local events to provide fun experiences for families of the fallen heroes to get together. They are for children ages 5-18 years of age and a surviving parent or legal guardian.

This is a time to meet and simply have "fun" with other children just like themselves. It is OK to smile and laugh, even if you have lost a fallen hero.

The event will provide free admission, T-shirts, meals for the families, concert seats, and free inflatable rides for the kids; along with all other free activities that go on during the course of the day.

The event will also offer a "meet and greet" with Country Star Darryl Worley who will also pay respects to these families during his performance of "Have You Forgotten".

Families can register to the organization at Snowball Express Website

The Labadie Pig Gig presented by State Farm is held in Veterans Memorial Park, August 6th through the 9th. The event features a national rib competition, nightly musical concerts, the Coors Light tent, Covenant Health Care Hospitality tent, the Great Lakes Loons Family Stage, Pig Racing, the Catholic Federal 5K race, children's activities and a brand new Water-ski show!

Dow Corning sponsors the charity area which benefits over 20 area charities.
