It was opening night for the fall season of Michigan Idol on Thursday, September 10, 2009.
The Stables & MyBayCity.com has teamed up with Next Media's The New Mix 106.3 FM this season including celebrity radio personality, Brian "FIG" Figula.
Everyone was all smiles as returning contestants as well as new all joined together with friends for a fun and entertaining night of the singing competition.
The judges comments make it a comedy night that is alone a show of humorous entertainment. Judges included, Tommy Anderson from Infinity & Paisley Fog Bands, Josh Sharrow of Impact Sound Entertainment, and Brian "Fig" Figula, program director of the New Mix 106.3 FM.
Josh Sharrow said, "It was so nice to see all these new competitors, the Michigan Idol Competition is just starting . . so hold on!!"
The contestant will continue for the next 10 weeks, in which one winner will be selected to win a cash prize and a spot to open up for a headlining band at the Prime Event Center, Downtown Bay City.

Snider, continued, "I think this competition is good, I love the constructive criticism, the contestants that cant handle it, flee out slowly and the contestants that can, stick around!"
