Next Up = 'Figure Eight' - Saturday, October 24, 2009

The Bay County Fairground's Bump 'N Grind started out more like a 'Mud Bog' due to mother nature, On Saturday, October 3, 2009, but after the track dried out, the speeds started to pick up to average speed.

Just like in football . . . the race still went after a brief sprinkle, ending in a perfect setting in Bay City at the Bay County Fairgrounds. Full size and compact cars trudged through the mud, for 10 laps, it was almost like they needed monster truck tires. (Finals ran for 15 laps)

The rain throughout the day on Saturday, made for a very wet and rough track, but also made it 'never a dull moment'. Spectators stayed dry under the grandstands and the fall weather temperatures were perfect! Races lasted just as the sunlight dropped.

Don't Miss the final 'Figure 8' race of the year
Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Bay County Fairgrounds starting at 4:00 PM

Grandstands prices:
  • Adults $10
  • Children 10 & under $5

(Above) Although it seemed like a monster truck should be coming around the corner at any minute, the biggest tires you seen was that of the tractors trying to smooth out the track.

(Above) Only one female competitor of the day. (That sounds so familiar)
